Maria tells from her innermost soul
By thanking and praising;
She starts with herself,
To tell the wonders of the savior,
What he did to her as her wife.
O humankind,
Servant of satan and sins,
You are relieved
By the comforting arrival of christ
Of this burden and slavery!
But your mouth and obdurate spirit
Conceals, denies this kindness;
