Notices: In Third lesson we will learn something about
powerchords and syncopation. We will also learn our
second song!

Ex. 1 - This example shows you what an powerchord is.
Powerchords are heavy rock version of standard
guitar chords. You can "build" them by puting your
index finger on any of frets that you can find on first,
second and third string. Then you should put your
fourth finger (the one between middle and little one :))
on higher string - two bars further. Look at the exercise
to understand how does it work.

Ex. 2 - This exercise shows you what you can do with
powerchords to make it sound "heavier" and louder.
We must use our little fingers in order to do it (look at
the exercise).

Ex. 3 - "Syncopation - When a note which
falls between beats is accented and held over the
following beat, the natural pulse is ditsurbed". This
example shows you what does this definition mean.

Ex. 4 - This exercise is harder than the others. It shows
you what is syncopation (like ex. 3) and also how to
connect powerchords on bass strings with accents
played on higher strings.

Song 2 - In this song you can practice everything that
you have learned in third lesson. This song is named
Breaking The Law and it was written by Judas Priest.

Lyric
Some like beautiful, perfect, and pretty
I see the good in the bad and the ugly
I need the volume one louder than ten
Put the pedal to the metal, needle into the red
If the windows ain’t shaking
Making my heart race
If I can’t feel it in my chest
I’m in the wrong damn place

Got a demon in my soul
And a voice in my head
Saying go, go, go
I can sleep when I’m dead
There’s a sonic revelation bringing me to my knees
And there’s a man down below that needs my sympathy
I got a ringing in my ears getting ready to burst
Screaming hallelujah mother fucker take me to church

I like it louder than the boom of a big bass drum
I need it harder than the sound of guitar grunge
I like to crank it up, make it thump, all needles to the core
Head banging in the pit and throwing my horns
And just like old school Sabbath, Zeppelin, and Lemmy
I need to drop it down low and make it heavy
I like it heavy, whoa
I like it heavy, whoa

I ride the lightning, roll with the thunder
Going down, down, down with my sisters and brothers
I fell in love with the darkest parts
Standing on the side of the wild at heart
I plucked a feather off a crow
So I could fly
Since I was 13 years old
I’ve had my horns to the sky

I like it louder than the boom of a big bass drum
I need it harder than the sound of guitar grunge
I like to crank it up, make it thump, all needles to the core
Head banging in the pit and throwing my horns
And just like old school Sabbath, Zeppelin, and Lemmy
I need to drop it down low and make it heavy
I like it heavy, whoa
I like it heavy, whoa

I like it, it like it, I like it heavy
I like it, it like it, I like it heavy
I like it, it like it, I like it heavy
I like it, it like it, I like it heavy

Some like beautiful perfect and pretty
I see the good in the bad and the ugly
I like it heavy, whoa
I like it heavy, whoa

I like it, it like it, I like it heavy
I like it, it like it, I like it heavy
I like it, it like it, I like it heavy
I like it, it like it, I like it heavy
